Julie Matysik will join Running Press Kids as editorial director on March 14. Previously she was editorial director at Sky Pony Press.

At Da Capo Press and Da Capo Lifelong Books, Sean Maher has been promoted to associate director of marketing and Jillian Farrel moves up to marketing manager.

Hilary Pecheone has joined New Leaf Literary & Media in the new role of director of brand development, where she will be developing integrated branding and marketing strategies for New Leaf clients. Previously she was senior marketing manager at Practising Law Institute, where she led the corporate digital marketing team.

The NYT looked at Michael Punke, author of the 2002 novel The Revenant that was the basis for the film of the same name. As deputy US Trade Representative and US ambassador to the World Trade Organization, Federal ethics rules prohibit him from giving interviews about the book, signing copies, or engaging in any other promotional activities that would be “self-enriching.” But Picador has sold over 170,000 print copies of their reissue, mostly in trade paperback, and approximately 100,000 ebooks (with a reported 500,000 copies in print).

Rowman & Littlefield has entered into a co-publishing agreement with the American Alliance of Museums, whose book publishing program includes textbooks, professional practice, and profession-wide standards including National Standards & Best Practices for US Museums.
