At Portfolio/Sentinel/Current, Will Weisser has been promoted to deputy publisher, in addition to his existing duties as vp, marketing director. In addition, Niki Papadopoulos has been promoted to executive editor.

Springer Nature has promoted Steven Inchcoombe to the new role of chief publishing officer, and he will join the company’s board. He was managing director, Nature Research Group.

At Hachette Audio, Kim Sayle has been promoted to associate publisher, operations, while Mitch Kelly moves up to assistant manager, marketing and operations.

At Fodor’s Travel, Siobhan O’Hare has been appointed to the newly created position of vp, associate publisher, reporting to Amanda D’Acierno. O’Hare will oversee Fodor’s digital and print editorial strategy, as well as its production staff. The position of vp, editor in chief, previously held by Arabella Bowen, is being eliminated, and she will leave the company as a result of this change.

Tricia Skinner has been promoted to associate agent at Fuse Literary.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt has extended their relationship with bestseller author and xkcd creator Randall Munroe. Content from his trade book Thing Explainer will be featured in HMH’s high school science textbooks, and Munroe is contributing new content to HMH Science Dimensions, a new series of science programs for the 2017-18 school year.
