Alliance
Scholastic has a multi-year licensing agreement to publish books in print and digital formats based on the American Girl brand, starting in January 2017, for world English rights. They say it is the first time American Girl has licensed the rights to publish books based on its characters. The broad deal includes American Girl’s popular Girl of the Year line, a nonfiction chapter book series, a new original series in middle grade, and novelty formats including treasury books, guided journals, and American Girl-branded yearbooks featuring activities and quizzes.
