Jamison Stoltz has joined Abrams as executive editor for a soon-to-be launched text-driven imprint with a focus on narrative nonfiction, set to publish 12-15 titles annually. Stoltz was previously senior editor at Grove Atlantic. Abrams president and ceo Michael Jacobs said in the announcement: “As we continue to expand and evolve, as well as plan for the next phase of our growth we see a real opportunity for our already successful adult publishing lists to add a text-driven imprint to our portfolio. We want to publish more writers in our special way. This is our moment to do so.”

Publisher of adult trade Michael Sand added: “With this new imprint, we are committed to publishing on a broad range of categories that the Abrams program addresses, including popular culture, film, art, design, general-interest science, nature, food topics, and more. Stoltz is a generalist in the best sense—someone who reads broadly and deeply and brings a passion for good storytelling to the books he acquires and edits. We’re thrilled that he will be heading up a new text line at Abrams.”

As part of a reorganization, Ecco’s publicity department will now report to associate publisher Miriam Parker rather than to the Harper publicity department. Ashley Garland has been promoted to associate director of publicity, while Martin Wilson is joining the imprint as senior publicity manager from Harper. Both Garland and Wilson report to Sonya Cheuse.

Separately at Ecco, Emma Janaskie has been promoted to associate editor.

Erin Kottke has joined Catapult as director of publicity. Kottke was previously marketing and publicity director at Graywolf and most recently ran her own PR company, Erin Kottke Public Relations. In addition, Jennifer Abel Kovitz has been promoted to associate publisher for Catapult, Counterpoint, and Soft Skull.

Christi Sheehan has joined DK as associate publicist. She formerly worked at Harlequin as a publicity assistant.

A celebration of Bob Minzesheimer‘s life will be held on Monday, October 24 at 4 PM at the Scarborough Presbyterian Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY.
