People, Etc.

October 21, 2016
By Sarah Weinman

At HarperCollins Children’s Books, Olivia Russo has been promoted to publicity manager.

Founder of art books publisher Unpiano Books, Jesse Pollock has joined Anthology Editions as senior project manager. In addition, Casey Whalen has joined as sales director. Whalen was previously a sales manager at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Rizzoli International Publications.

Awards
The UK’s Folio Prize, which originally distinguished itself by considering English-language books from all over, including the US, plans to return in 2017 after a suspension and will make works of nonfiction eligible as well. The Bookseller cites an email from prize director Minna Fry saying it will be “the only major literary prize to reward what is genuinely the best book of the year.”

Distribution
Sourcebooks
will use Melia Publishing Services for sales and distribution in the UK, beginning December 2016.

Stanford University Press and University of Ottawa Press will work with Ingram Academic Services for print and digital sales and distribution.
