Robert B. Silvers, 87, founding co-editor of the New York Review of Books, died Monday, at his home in Manhattan. The publication’s obituary is straight forward; remembrances abound elsewhere, including both Adam Gopnik and a variety of writers at the New Yorker, and one from Laura Marsh at the New Republic, who worked for Silvers recently.
Also Colin Dexter, 86, creator of the Inspector Morse novels, died Tuesday.
