Susan Van Metre will join Candlewick Press as executive editorial director of the new Walker Books US imprint, set to launch in fall 2018. Van Metre has been with Abrams for the past 15 years, most recently as svp and publisher of the children’s division, and will remain based in New York. President and publisher of Candlewick Press and group managing director of the Walker Books Group, Karen Lotz says: “We are extremely lucky to have someone of Susan’s keen talents and vast knowledge join us at this important moment in our corporate history. Helping the Walker Bear take up new digs in the U.S. will be vastly more fun with Susan to welcome him home!”

At Penguin Random House Speakers Bureau, Caitlin McCaskey has been promoted to senior agent director and Stasia Whalen to senior agent.

At Ten Speed Press, Chloe Rawlins has been promoted to associate art director; Mari Gill has been promoted to senior production designer; and Lizzie Allen has been promoted to designer.

Matthew Dickie has joined the Ingram Publisher Services international sales team as European sales manager. He previously worked for Usborne. Tucker Stone has joined Consortium as client marketing manager focused primarily on the children’s and comics market. Philippa Malicka has been promoted to business development manager for Lightning Source UK. Nick Singh has been promoted to key account sales manager for Ingram Spark in the UK. Tyler Montgomery has been promoted to content manager for Ingram Book Group. Louisa Brody has joined Two Rivers Distribution and Ingram Academic Services in the newly created role of manager, client relations.

Martina O’Sullivan has joined Portfolio UK as editorial director, reporting to Venetia Butterfield, following the departure of Joel Rickett. She was formerly publisher at Palgrave Macmillan UK.
