At Orbit, Brit Hvide has been promoted to senior editor and Nivia Evans has been promoted to associate editor.

At Simon & Schuster, Julianna Haubner has been promoted to associate editor.

Michelle Campbell joins Little, Brown Children’s as senior manager of school and library marketing. She was most recently manager of library and educational marketing for Scholastic.

Deborah Druba has joined Anna Jarota Literary Agency as an agent. She was most recently editor of foreign literature at Editions Kero and before that editorial director at Fleuve Editions.

Rebecca Weston, formerly associate editor at Random House Children’s, is launching an independent editorial services business, Rebecca Weston Literary.

DK’s publishing director for travel Georgina Dee will remain with the company following the sale of Rough Guides to APA, the Bookseller reports. APA ceo René Frey tells the magazine they “agreed to take the whole team” from Rough Guides and will review everyone’s status after the acquisition closes.

Distribution
Simon & Schuster will distribute comic book and graphic novel publisher Oni Press starting March 1, 2018.

In the UK, Turnaround Distribution will distribute BHP Comics.

Bookselling
Kew & Willow Books, the new bookstore in the Kew Gardens neighborhood of Queens, will open October 7 — initially doing business only on weekends.
