At Penguin Random House Audio, Kelly Atkinson has been promoted to managing editor and Ruby Liu has been promoted to project management coordinator. Heather Job has joined as associate publicist. She was previously publicity assistant at Macmillan Children’s.

Kate Rados has been promoted to vice president, consumer platforms at Penguin Random House’s corporate consumer development group. Kristen Fritz moved up to vice president, executive editor, content marketing.

Ann Marie LaCasha joined Sourcebooks as director of brand marketing. She was previously senior product manager, global marketing at Abbott.

Brianna Yamashita joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as director of marketing, lifestyle and business. She was previously associate publisher, executive director of publicity and marketing at Tarcher Perigee. Jessica Gilo has been promoted to assistant marketing director, lifestyle.

Liza Cassity has been promoted to assistant director of publishing for Putnam, Dutton, Berkley and Plume.

Joseph Parsons has joined Holloway Literary as a literary agent. Previously he was senior editor at the University of North Carolina Press and the University of Iowa Press.

At Harper Children’s UK, fiction publisher Sarah Hughes will leave the company at the end of the month, since her position has been eliminated. The company said there is “no longer a requirement for the role.”

At Amazon Publishing UK, Laura Deacon has been promoted to leading the editorial team, taking over from Emilie Marneur, and reporting to Amazon Publishing UK head Eoin Purcell.

At Hachette Livre, group chief CRM & digital marketing officer Guillaume Pech-Gourg has joined the Executive Committee for France, “given the growing importance of the digital agenda and consumer relations for the group.”

Barnes & Noble announced their spring Discover Great New Writers selections, including Buzz Books authors Chloe Benjamin, A.J. Finn and Mario Giordano.

New & used bookstore Codex Books has opened at 1 Bleecker Street in New York’s East Village.
