New and Improved Deal Reports

March 29, 2018
By Michael Cader

For the first time (I think) since we launched over 16 years ago, we have revamped the deal report form at PublishersMarketplace.com. It adds a variety of new fields and checkboxes to better accommodate the stream of deals we receive every day — now including fields for series, illustrators, and additional editors and agents, plus standardized ways to report territory along with auctions and pre-empts, and more. The new form is mobile-friendly, as part of our progressive revamp of key site pages, and the backend logic will help us to better compose the final deal posts and automatically tag your deals for our more than 25,000 Dealmakers pages. (Soon the deal pages themselves will become mobile-friendly as well!) All of which should mean that we can post more deals, more quickly and more accurately.

While we will still accept deals sent manually to our deals email address, those reports will take us longer to process — so we would truly appreciate it if you would try using the new form instead. As ever, we welcome your feedback and any questions, and hope you find this update helpful.
