More Deals Improvements

June 15, 2018
By Michael Cader

As part of our continuing work on revamping the deals submission form, thanks to user feedback we have now launched a separate, dedicated reporting form for translation rights sales. The new form lets you report anywhere from 1 to 6 territory sales in a single report (and for more, just fill out a second form). We’ll be listing buyers by country, and there’s a dropdown menu to make that selection easy and consistent — and that will help us unlock some more reporting magic for you soon.

Use the regular form for sales in the US, Canada and the UK. That form has been updated, too, with fields for your rights contact(s); additional territories that you want to report alongside a US sales; and a “notes” box for anything else you want to tell us that does not fit in the form.

We ask that you please try to use the two forms to report whenever possible rather than just emailing us your details. The forms help organize and standardize reports so that we can maintain consistency, and they automatically add the multiple tags we need to populate our Dealmakers pages. With up 75 new reports a day, these improved forms help us post your deals as soon as possible.

It’s been a big year for refining the deal reports process, with special nonfiction children’s categories, new audio sales tracking, a new deals copyeditor, these reporting form improvements, and still more to come. Thanks as ever for your help and support.
