Kim Anderson will re-join Chronicle Books as vice president of sales & marketing, overseeing the marketing, domestic sales, international sales, and subsidiary rights teams. Previously, she worked in the Chronicle Books sales department from 2003 to 2013, and has spent the past five years as a sales and marketing consultant for such companies as Insight Editions, Mrs. Grossman’s, becker&mayer, and Galison.
Steve Marshall joined Ingram Content Group as vp, IT services. Prior to Ingram, Steve was the vice president of infrastructure at C&S Wholesale Grocers in Keene, NH.

Mysterious Galaxy bookstore in San Diego is seeking new ownership after 25 years of operation. Co-owners Maryelizabeth Yturralde and Terry Gilman also run Creating Conversations, which sells books at events throughout Southern California, and said in a statement that they “just don’t have the bandwidth to effectively operate two businesses.” However, if they can’t find a buyer, Yturralde says the store will stay open and they “won’t abandon our staff or our greater community.”
