Give Yourself Some PM

December 18, 2018
By Michael Cader

We recently marked the 17th anniversary of PublishersMarketplace.com for our site members, though we have been too busy with end of year news to properly note the occasion for our wide audience of free newsletter readers as well. (Publishers Lunch is older by about a year and half, though we didn’t know we were starting something when we started, so there’s no easy day to mark.)

Every year — and in fact pretty much every day — we work on iterative improvements to our site (in the past year we’ve had a major overhaul of parts of the signature “deals” flow) and our services. We added Newsbox recently to make it easier for anyone to contribute updates, press releases, anonymous tips and more to Lunch. And our signature reporting, often reserved for PM members/Deluxe readers, continues energetically, most recently with Monday’s nearly 3,000-word look at the printing and paper shortages that have challenged publishers all year.

But here is the news that matters to you: If you want to check out our full reporting that sets the industry’s agenda, and explore all the deep databases we have built at PublishersMarketplace (140,000 deal records, 25,000+ Dealmakers pages, 110,000 reviews encapsulations, nearly 1 million bestseller list records, 18.5 years of daily news post, and more), we have a special promotional code that rolls back the price of your first month’s membership to our starting rate from 2001: Use the code Fifteen when you enroll and check us out for $15 for the first month. (Plus you can download our members-only app and follow everything PM/PL from your mobile device over the holidays.) Thanks for your continuing attention and support, no matter which version of our work you read.
