Ken Holland, vp, director, field sales, will be retire from Macmillan on May 14, after 22 years at the company. Holland joined Macmillan in 1997 as national sales manager. Jenn Gonzalez, evp, trade sales, said, “Beloved by booksellers and the field alike, Ken is well known for being a fierce champion of the independent channel. He has tirelessly traveled across the country to visit accounts and reps, building relationships and selling strategies that have allowed Macmillan to remain competitive. A discerning and enthusiastic reader, he could always be relied on for insight into the books that would work best in independent stores. He will be greatly missed.”
At Penguin Random House Audio, Catherine Bucaria has been promoted to assistant director, acquisitions and editorial operations. Jennifer Donovan has joined as editor. She was previously assistant editor at St. Martin’s.
