Pamela Barricklow has joined the William Morrow Group as executive managing editor, reporting to Liate Stehlik.   

At Penguin Random House Audio, Taraneh Djangi has been promoted to associate director, strategic marketing; Nicole Morano to senior publicity manager; Linda Schmidt to director, project management and art/design; and Heresa Capan to director, art/design. Juliette Koronkiewicz joins as senior social media manager.

Andrew LaVallee is promoted to deputy, news and features for the books desk at the New York Times.

Daniel Marrs will join Ave Maria Press as vice president and editorial director on August 19. He was previously publisher of the Thomas Nelson Bible Group. Kyle Marscola will join as vice president and director of finance and operations on July 30. Previously, he was director of finance at Gibson Insurance in South Bend, IN.

In the UK, Strawberrie Donnelly has joined Bloomsbury Children’s in the newly created role of art director, starting August 1 and reporting to creative director Stephanie Amster. She was previously at Scholastic.

Clare Kelly has been promoted to senior publicity manager at Bonnier Books UK, starting August 1.

Bestseller Lists
The Washington Post reports that its bestseller lists were incorrect in from late May 2018 through June 2019, due to software errors. The errors have now been corrected and the lists republished. Going forward, the paper is “hand-checking every list before publication to ensure accuracy.”

Awards
The Romance Writers of America announced the winners of their RITA Awards in 13 different categories. Among the honorees were: Lady in Waiting, by Marie Tremayne (best first book); Long Shot, by Kennedy Ryan (contemporary romance long); My So-Called Bollywood Life, by Nisha Sharma (young adult romance); and A Wicked Kind of Husband, by Mia Vincy (historical romance long).
