Jessica Williams has been promoted to executive editor for the William Morrow Group.

Thames & Hudson Australia has hired Melbourne University Press executive publisher Sally Heath as associate publisher for a new narrative nonfiction publishing program.

Chad Felix joins Two Lines Press in San Francisco as sales and marketing manager. Previously he was digital marketing manager for Grove/Atlantic.

Stella Nelissen has joined the Marianne Schönbach Literary Agency as a literary agent. She was head of the copyediting department at Prometheus.

In the UK, Gillie Russell is leaving Aitken Alexander to join Alice Russell and Francesca Zampi at Found, where she will continue to represent her existing list and take on new authors.

When Amazon starts hiring for a new physical store it’s no longer clear when they are planning a Books store or a 4-Star outlet — but the company is recruiting staff for a new Detroit store of some kind.

Island Books in Middletown, RI is up for sale as co-owners Judy Crosby and Gary Crosby hope to retire. They offer a “turn-key operation, practically free and quite profitable (for a bookstore) and is the most entertaining, enlightening and sociable retail atmosphere one could ask for.”
