Flatiron Books publisher Amy Einhorn has been made president and publisher of Holt, effective immediately, reporting to Don Weisberg. Ben Schrank, who was hired a year ago to train as Steve Rubin’s successor, will leave the company. Weisberg says in the announcement: “Amy’s publishing acumen, keen editorial instincts, and strong author relationships make her uniquely qualified to carry on the legacy of Holt. NBA Longlists Begin With Young People’s Literature
The National Book Foundation kicked off its week of longlist announcements with the nominees for the award for Young People’s Literature. The list includes previous winner Cynthia Kadohata (2013), as well as finalists Jason Reynolds (2016), Laura Ruby (2015), and Laurie Halse Anderson (2008, 1999).
