Daisy Blackwell Hutton will join Hachette Nashville as vice president and publisher starting November 11, taking over as Rolf Zettersten retires. She has been vp and publisher at Harper Christian. HBG ceo Michael Pietsch said, “Daisy brings to Hachette Nashville a deep understanding of the faith-based, inspirational, and conservative political book markets, combined with a passion for partnering with authors, and proven ability to grow business lines. I’m confident that she will build in exciting ways upon the successful program created by Rolf Zettersten and his talented editorial, marketing, publicity and design teams.”
At the Simon & Schuster imprint, Sean Manning has been promoted to executive editor.
Junessa Viloria has joined Forever as editor. She worked briefly at Crooked Lane’s new Alcove Press imprint, and was previously at Alibi and Loveswept.
Rachel Yoder has joined The Tuesday Agency, which represents authors for speaking engagements, as senior agent. She currently serves as the Literary Programming Director for Mission Creek Festival as well as a board member for the UNESCO City of Literature.

Quercus US is re-branding as Mobius, and plans to “ultimately offer titles from across all Hachette UK lists.” The release says that books on the Mobius list “will maintain their originating publisher imprint” from the UK, and “the Mobius name and logo will be used to identify the list.” Giuliana Caranante is the marketing and publicity director for Mobius.

Elena Ferrante‘s first novel in five years, previously announced for publication on November 7 in Italy by Edizioni E/O, will be released on June 9, 2020 in English by Europa Editions under the title The Lying Life of Adults.

NYC’s Books of Wonder is moving from its location on W. 18th Street to a new space in the same neighborhood as their lease expires. The store is looking to raise $250,000 to $350,000 for the move. They blame bad debts from previous sub-tenants for depleting their resources.
