Legal
Audible attorney Emily Reisbaum advised the court on Thursday that they are still in discussions with publishers regarding a potential resolution of the Captions lawsuit. Their next progress report will come on or before December 3.

Bookselling
Mysterious Galaxy Bookstore in San Diego needs to vacate their Balboa Avenue storefront in 60 days — their lease expired in August — and “unless a new buyer and new location are found immediately, Mysterious Galaxy will be forced to close its doors.” They have been looking for a new owner for over a year now. Manager Kelly Orazi said, “We’ve come close to finding the right person, but it hasn’t happened yet.”

The Barnes & Noble in the Virginia Beach, VA’s Town Center that closed reopened on Wednesday in a smaller, refreshed format. Once 27,000 square feet, the store now occupies 17,000 square feet, now carrying about 25,000 titles.

Distribution
Fitzhenry & Whiteside will begin to distribute Eerdmans titles in Canada.
