At Tin House, Nanci McCloskey has been promoted to associate publisher, director of marketing and sales. Masie Cochran becomes editorial director.

At Little, Brown Jessica Chun has been promoted to marketing director; Shannon Hennessey to associate publicist; Alyssa Persons to senior publicist; Juliana Horbachevsky to assistant director of publicity for the Spark and Voracious imprints; Tracy Shaw to executive art director / Jimmy Patterson Books; and Kirin Diemont to junior designer, Little Brown trade art department.

Lisa Quach has joined Simon & Schuster Children’s as marketing manager. She was most recently senior marketing coordinator at Big Honcho Media.

At Random House Children’s Andrea Lau has joined as a senior designer on the interior design team, and Jen Valero as a designer on the interior design team, both moving over from Random House. Allyssa Price has joined as designer on the brand marketing design team. She was previously senior designer at Happy Cog Agency.

Isabella Nugent becomes marketing & publicity coordinator for Running Press and Black Dog & Leventhal. Hannah Jones has been promoted to senior managing editor of Running Press. And Jenna McBride has been promoted to associate design director for RP Studio.

At Grove Atlantic, Emily Burns has been promoted to assistant editor. Kait Astrella becomes associate publicist.

At Scholastic Trade, Savannah D’Amico has returned as national account manager, Barnes & Noble. She was most recently children’s field and educational sales manager at Hachette Book Group. Samantha Rios has joined as assistant production editor. Betsy Politi has been promoted to national accounts manager, proprietary projects.

Clive Cussler, 88, author of 85 books that have sold over 100 million copies, died on February 24 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. Putnam says his next novel, Journey of the Pharaohs, will be published on March 10, with a number of other manuscripts “already completed and slated for future publication.”

Awards
Edwidge Danticat won The Story Prize for her collection Everything Inside (Knopf). She’s the first person to win the award two times.

The International Booker Prize announced its 13-title shortlist, with titles in eight languages from 11 countries.

Book Fairs
The Bologna Book Fair told attendees that their existing tickets will remain valid and do not nee to updated for the new dates of May 4 through May 7. But those unable to attend due to the postponement of the show are out of luck in terms of any refunds: “Purchased tickets cannot be reimbursed since the rescheduling was decided on account of orders and indications issued by the Italian government and health authorities in light of the ‘Coronavirus’ emergency, and therefore due to circumstances beyond the control of BolognaFiere.”

Acquisitions
Bloomsbury has sold the Whitaker’s Almanack assets to graphic novel and genre fiction publisher Rebellion.

Distribution
Simon & Schuster will distribute Indigo River Publishing starting April 1.
