Derek Gullino has been promoted to senior vice president, executive director of publishing operations for Clarkson Potter, Harmony & Rodale, and Ten Speed Press.

Donna Loffredo has been promoted to Executive Editor, Harmony Books and Rodale Books, reporting to Diana Baroni.

At Random House, Rachel Kind has been promoted to vice president and executive director of foreign rights; Rachel Berkowitz to director of foreign rights; Donna Duverglas to deputy director of foreign rights; Jessica Cashman to senior manager; and Claire Posner-Greco to manager of foreign rights.

Jack Perry has joined Astra Publishing House in the new position of director of sales & analytics. Perry will be responsible for the sales efforts of Boyds Mills & Kane; mineditionUS; and Astra House. Patrizia van Daalen has joined parent company Thinkingdom Media Group International as content director, working with Astra House and Astra Magazine to develop content in translation and coordinate with other editorial platforms of TMG. She was formerly publishing director at Penguin Random House North Asia.

Megan Perritt-Jacobson has joined Twelve as director of publicity & marketing, reporting to publisher Sean Desmond. She was previously at Crown.

At Little Bee Books, Brett Duquette has been promoted to executive editor; Rebecca Webster to executive editor; Courtney Fahy to assistant editor; Evan Oare to senior manager, national accounts; and Elizabeth Peskin to senior production manager.

Ana Crespo has been promoted to assistant agent at East/West Literary Agency.

Dr. Martin Shepard, 86, publisher of The Permanent Press, died on December 17 after a brief illness.

Correcting yesterday’s piece on Simon & Schuster‘s relationship to Regnery Publishing (and therefore the Josh Hawley book), Regnery handles their own sales in the US. As Regnery’s distributor, Simon & Schuster handles sales in Canada and international markets only.

Platforms
Fable, a new social reading platform “making it easy to create virtual book clubs, highlight favorite lines, take notes, and discuss using prompts” has launched. The platform was founded by Padmasree Warrior, Microsoft and Spotify board member and former ceo of NIO US.
