Matt Hooban has been promoted to communications director at Hachette Book Group.

At Hachette Books, Hachette Go, and Legacy Lit, Terri Sirma has been promoted to senior designer and Quinn Fariel has been promoted to senior marketing manager. Alison Dalafave becomes assistant editor, Hachette Go, and Carrie Napolitano associate editor, Hachette Books.

At Abrams Children’s, Emily Daluga has been promoted to associate editor; Jessica Gotz to assistant editor; Sara Sproull to assistant editor; and Jade Rector to junior designer.

Larry Mallach has joined Penguin Random House as executive director, inventory management, adult. He was previously at Hachette Book Group.

Debby de Groot is joining House of Anansi Press as publicity director. She is the main publicity contact at House of Anansi effective immediately and will take on the role full time as of June 1. She was previously the owner and principal publicist at MDG & Associates.

Jenna Brown has joined Penguin Random House UK in the newly created position of head of media rights, reporting to Chantal Noel, group rights director. She was most recently strategy & business development manager at BBCS. In her new role, Brown will oversee rights deals for film, TV, radio and theatre productions.

Octavia Saenz has joined mineditionUS as assistant editor.
