At Random House Publishing Group, Alex Larned has been promoted to publishing manager, Del Rey & Licensed, and Aubrey Martinson to associate editor, Crown. At Clarkson Potter, Sahara Clement has joined as editor. She was previously assistant editor at Chronicle Books. Gabrielle Van Tassel has been promoted to associate editor.

Nadine Britt has been promoted to senior vice president, executive director, production, Penguin Young Readers, starting May 16.

Cindy Lee has been promoted to assistant director, marketing & digital content at the Workman imprint.

Shona Burns has joined Knk as implementation consultant. She was previously executive director of production at Chronicle Books.

At Astra Publishing House, Kelly Yue joins as staff accountant; Samuel Rutter joins Astra Magazine as deputy editor; Thalia Leaf joins Calkins Creek as associate editor; and Tiffany Gonzalez moves to Astra House as marketing & publicity coordinator.
Awards
Senator Amy Klobuchar will receive AAP’s 2021 Award for Distinguished Public Service, which “honors individuals who have made important contributions to the public good by advancing laws or policies that respect the value, creation, and publication of original works of authorship.” She’ll accept the award at AAP’s virtual annual meeting, to be held on June 2. Also speaking at the meeting will be Don Lemon, host of CNN Tonight with Don Lemon and author of This Is the Fire, and Brad Stone, senior executive editor of global technology at Bloomberg News and the author of Amazon Unbound.
