Dutch publisher Ambo Anthos has suspended printing of The Betrayal of Anne Frank after questions emerged about its research, Reuters reports. Published on January 18, the book named a Jewish man, Arnold van den Bergh, a relatively obscure figure, as the top suspect who informed the Nazis of Anne Frank and her family’s hiding place, leading to their capture in 1944. The research team behind the book was led by former FBI agent Vince Pankoke, who enlisted a group of said to include a psychologist, a criminologist, researchers and data specialists. Bookselling: Uncle Hugo’s and Uncle Edgar’s

Minneapolis mystery and science fiction bookstore Uncle Hugo’s and Uncle Edgar’s, which burned down in 2020 during the George Floyd protests, has found a new location. Owner Don Blyly will close on purchasing the new building on March 24 and plans to reopen the stores in June.

Pearson Acquires Credly

Pearson has acquired Credly, a digital workforce certification company valued at approximately $200 million. Pearson already had a 20 percent stake in the company, and used available cash and liquidity to purchase the remainder, paying $140 million and a deferred consideration.
