The Authors Guild has filed suit on behalf of a group of authors against Authors Place Press and its owner, Tony Ferraro, for nonpayment. The complaint, filed in US District Court in Florida, alleges that Authors Place Press and its subsidiary Motivational Press failed to pay royalties and provide royalty statements to authors. Obituary: Charles Simic
Prolific Serbian-American poet Charles Simic, 84, died on Monday at an assisted living facility in Dover, NH from complications with dementia. Simic was the US Poet Laureate in 2007 and his 1990 poetry collection The World Doesn’t End won the 1990 Pulitzer Prize.
