Imprints: Gallery Books Launches Imprint With Lemonada Media

Gallery Books is launching a new imprint with podcast company Lemonada Media called Lemonada Books. Its first two books will be based on the podcasts Fail Better, featuring David Duchovny, and Last Day, hosted by Lemonada co-founder and chief creative officer Stephanie Wittels Wachs. Simon & Schuster ceo Jonathon Karp said in a release, “Podcasting is a vibrant source for storytelling, enlightening conversation, entertainment and helpful information – and Lemonada is a proven leader in producing the podcasts that listeners most want to hear. Obituary: Lewis Lapham

July 25, 2024By Erin Somers

Lewis H. Lapham, 89, longtime editor of Harper’s and editor of Lapham Quarterly’s, died on July 25 in Rome. Lapham served as editor in chief of Harper’s from 1976 to 2006. In 2006, he founded Lapham’s, an eclectic magazine focused on literature and history. His last book, Age of Folly: America Abandons Its Democracy, was published in 2016.
