New Books Publishing December 3

December 3, 2024By Katy Hershberger

This week Brandon Sanderson and Robin Cook release new novels, while new nonfiction includes work by Alex Cuadros and Michelle Obama’s OVERCOMING workbook. December’s children’s releases include a new Dog Man book by Dav Pilkey (with an announced 5-million-copy first printing, plus an upcoming world tour and the release of a Dog Man film on January 31).

Also publishing this week are SISTER SNAKE by Amanda Lee Koe, available in our Buzz Books 2024: Spring/Summer anthology, and RENTAL HOUSE by Weike Wang, excerpted in our Buzz Books 2024: Fall/Winter sampler.

We consult a number of sources in compiling our weekly lists and PM members can see our lists for the coming months on Bookshop. Check out December‘s 48 fiction releases, 14 works of nonfiction, and 15 children’s titles; January‘s 80 fiction releases, 38 works of nonfiction, and 30 children’s titles; and February‘s 96 fiction releases, 26 works of nonfiction, and 30 children’s titles.

But if you want to make sure your key titles are on our radar, now you can use this form to submit brief details as well: publun.ch/submitNotable. Please submit your notable titles at least 3 months prior to pub date and limit your submissions to selected, notable titles each season only; otherwise it’s too much for us to consider.
