Rebecca Yarros’s ONYX STORM sold 1,288,300 hardcovers across both deluxe and standard editions in its first week on sale through outlets tracked by Circana Bookscan. The deluxe edition sold 1,109,783 print copies, and the standard edition moved 178,532 copies. NetGalley Launches In-Browser Reader
NetGalley has launched NetGalley Reader, a proprietary in-browser platform allowing users to read approved ebooks without downloading them, using an external device, or navigating away from the NetGalley website. The platform supports both ePub and PDF formatted ebooks. Audiobooks can still be accessed through the NetGalley Shelf app. The upgrade is now live across in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, and Japan. Forthcoming: REACHER: THE STORIES BEHIND THE STORIES
On September 9, Mysterious Press will publish Lee Child’s REACHER: THE STORIES BEHIND THE STORIES, a collection of histories that “describes the moments in which he created each Jack Reacher novel.” The book will also include a previously-unpublished story. The stories were originally published by The Mysterious Bookshop as forewords to 100-copy-run limited editions of the novels. “Taken together, these forewords read like a diary of my writing life—and my real life, too—covering where I was, what was on my mind, what I was doing, what I was thinking,” Child said. “Even I am surprised at some of it!”
