County Highway, a publication founded by David Samuels and Walter Kirn, is launching a publishing imprint called Panamerica. Gary Fisketjon will “curate” the fiction. Previously, Fisketjon was at Knopf, until he “was dismissed for a breach of company policy” in 2019. First titles published by Panamerica will include the Appalachia-set BLOODLINE by Lee Clay Johnson and a posthumous book of short stories by comedian-actor-musician-painter Martin Mull, which will come out under the publisher’s Hard Cider Press imprint.
