Red Wheel/Weiser has acquired Watkins Publishing, the flagship imprint of Watkins Media. Both companies are focused on mind, body, and spirit publishing. The transaction does not affect the company’s other publishing imprints (Angry Robot, Datura, Moon & Bird, Nourish and Repeater) or other properties. Distribution in the US will continue through PRH Publisher Services, and in the UK through Wiley, until June 30, 2026. Entangled, Agent, Author Request $3.4M in Legal Fees for “Frivolous” Copyright Suit
Defendants in the copyright infringement case over Tracy Wolff’s “Crave” series—which did not plagiarize an unpublished YA manuscript, the court found—have requested that plaintiff Lynne Freeman cover their legal fees, totaling more than $3.4 million. According to a court filing, Entangled Publishing incurred fees of $2,688,481.34, Emily Sylvan Kim incurred fees of $437,934.93, and Tracy Wolff incurred fees of $281,018.92. Imprints: Caleb and Kyle Publishing
German independent audiobook publisher Audio-To-Go is launching a new English-language imprint for the US and UK called Caleb and Kyle Publishing. The imprint is headquartered in Ireland. The list will combine English-language originals with previously unpublished English translations of successful German titles and will debut in May 2026. First titles include THE LION’S CLAWS by Mac P. Lorne, from his bestselling Robin Hood series, narrated in English for the first time by John Lee. The first audio originals include Catriona Shine’s HABITAT, Estelle Birdy’s RAVELLING, and Mark McCrum’s THE FESTIVAL MURDERS.
