Trade sales grew 13 percent in June to $703 million, a record high for the month, according to StatShot data from the Association of American Publishers. Adult books sold $518 million, gaining 14 percent versus last year, with $317 million in fiction (up 19 percent) and $201 million in nonfiction (up 7 percent).
