Digital Book World 2013 (aka DBW IV) has just opened for registration, set for January 16 and January 17 in New York City, shifting location slightly to the Hilton Hotel.
Since we first joined with F+W Media and Mike Shatzkin in 2009 to help plan and promote Digital Book World, the event has grown into the premier digital educational event by and for trade publishing professionals in the world. Since the beginning, Publishers Lunch readers have had access to the best price on individual tickets to the show, and that pledge continues: Use our code PUBLUNCH for a 5 percent discount on all of the individual ticket options. The main registration page is here and the super-early pricing will be valid for just over a month only.
Also open for early registration is the return of our very successful companion event, the Publishers Launch Children’s Conference at DBW. Last year we drew well over 200 attendees from more than 90 companies for a rich overview of the emerging markets, products and business models for digital children’s books. With tens of millions of tablets on the market since then, the landscape–and the questions and opportunities–has gotten even more complex.
This year’s Children’s conference, on Tuesday, January 15, will be down the street at the McGraw-Hill Conference Center (and does not conflict at all with the ALA Mid-Winter meeting). The super-early price provides a $100 savings, and our discount code saves you another 5 percent.
As Digital Book World expands into close to a full week of events, workshops, exhibits and more, a new, simplified pricing schedule also includes an all-in-one “Total Access” pass. For $300 more than a basic DBW conference ticket, you get complete access to the PLC Children’s show, the full day of workshops, and the newly-separate PIA Awards luncheon ($890 worth of extras). If you want to attend anything in addition to the main DBW show, this new pass is a great value. And yes, our discount code PUBLUNCH saves you another 5 percent.
