At eBound Canada, Krystyna Ross has been appointed Interim chief executive officer, replacing Robert Hayashi who left the organization earlier in the year. Most recently an independent publishing consultant, Ross has held executive positions with McClelland & Stewart and Oxford University Press.
David Constantine has won the Frank O’Connor Short Story Prize for TEA AT THE MIDLAND AND OTHER STORIES (Comma Press).
A federal judge ordered that former bookstore director at Missouri State University Mark Brixey, who pled guilty earlier this year of embezzling $1.16 million from the university and awaits sentencing, must hand over 12 certificates of deposit he has at a credit union (worth an estimated $144,000).
