At Random House, Denise Cronin has been promoted to svp, senior director of subsidiary rights.
Brian Perrin has been appointed senior director, marketing digital product development for HarperWave and Harper Business, reporting to Kathy Schneider, effective March 30. Perrin moves over from the corporate marketing department of HarperCollins where he was executive director of digital product development. Senior marketing manager Penny Makras will now report to Perrin, while Leah Wasielewski continues in her role as vp, marketing.
At Thomas Dunne Books, Marcia Markland has been promoted to executive editor. In addition, Anne Brewer has been promoted to editor, and Melanie Fried moves up to associate editor.
At Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, Victoria Stapleton has been promoted to executive director, school and library marketing. In addition, Kristina Aven has been promoted to senior publicist, and Nikki Garcia moves up to assistant editor.
Jeannie Mun has joined Oyster as chief financial officer. Previously she was cfo at MediaMath, a leading global technology company that empowers advertisers and agencies to drive measurable business outcomes. In addition, Barry McCarthy has joined Oyster as advisor. Previously he was cfo at Netflix. Both Mun and McCarthy report to ceo Eric Stromberg, who said in the announcement: “The business is growing quickly as we add new publishing partners, launch new features, and build a passionate base of readers. Both Jeannie and Barry have deep experience scaling technology companies, and I’m excited to work closely with both of them as we enter the next phase of growth at Oyster.”
A memorial service for former Random House UK group deputy chairman Simon Master, who died January 16 while on holiday in Central America, will take place on Friday, April 17th. at 11 AM at St Luke’s Church, Sydney Street, London SW3 6NH followed by a reception at Cadogan Hall.
