Adriana Rizzo will join Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as vp, marketing on April 6. Previously she was senior director, marketing at ESPN. In addition, Maire Gorman will take on the new role of svp, sales, while Laurie Brown moves up to svp, associate trade group publisher and business development.
At McGraw-Hill Professional, Knox Huston has been promoted to executive editor.

The J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize was awarded to Susan Southard for NAGASAKI: Life After Nuclear War (Viking) while the Mark Lynton History Prize was given to Nikolaus Wachsmann‘s KL: A History of the Nazi Concentration Camps (FSG). Finally, the J. Anthony Lukas Work-in-Progress award was given to Steve Luxenberg‘s SEPARATE: A Story of Race, Ambition and the Battle That Brought Legal Segregation to America (W.W. Norton)
