It’s hard to believe that it has been 5 years since since we published our first free Buzz Books ebook anthology, shortly before BEA, and today we are proud to release two new collections, Buzz Books 2016: Fall/Winter with substantial pre-publication excerpts from 40 highly anticipated adult titles, and Buzz Books 2016 YA, with another 20 great young adult excerpts. We invented these samplers as a way of amplifying the “buzz books” concept beyond the limitations of a few convention 
speaking slots, and to give showgoers some direct experience with the text (rather than just the promotion). We were also anticipating how the industry might spread samples among consumer visitors, and how everyone might reach beyond the convention walls to share the excitement of grabbing hot galleys with passionate readers all over.
Given the quiet lead in to this year’s Chicago-bound Book Expo, this may be one of the best years for our “digital convention” by offering great excerpts to all of those who will not attend the show. The main Buzz Books include drop-everything-and-start-reading-now work from the likes of Ann Patchett, Amor Towles, Christina Baker Kline, TC Boyle and many others — plus it’s packed with over a dozen debuts, from authors you’ve been hearing about, including Brit Bennett, Jade Chang, Stephanie Gangi, Thomas Hill, Affinity Konar, Forrest Leo, Elan Mastai, Emily Fridlund and more. Plus a solid selection of forthcoming nonfiction as well. And the always-popular Young Adult Buzz Books 
includes anticipated excerpts from bestselling authors (also appearing at BookCon) Melissa De La Cruz and Lauren Oliver.

Actual Book Expo attendees can try to score rare printed editions of Buzz Books at the BEA buzz book panels or from the ABA Lounge, though they always go quickly, and we’ll be on hand with download cards as a handy reminder.
