Clive Cussler, 88, author of 85 books that have sold over 100 million copies, died on February 24 at his home in Scottsdale, AZ. Putnam says his next novel, Journey of the Pharaohs, will be published on March 10, with a number of other manuscripts “already completed and slated for future publication.”

Edwidge Danticat won The Story Prize for her collection Everything Inside (Knopf). She’s the first person to win the award two times.
The International Booker Prize announced its 13-title shortlist, with titles in eight languages from 11 countries.
Book Fairs
The Bologna Book Fair told attendees that their existing tickets will remain valid and do not nee to updated for the new dates of May 4 through May 7. But those unable to attend due to the postponement of the show are out of luck in terms of any refunds: “Purchased tickets cannot be reimbursed since the rescheduling was decided on account of orders and indications issued by the Italian government and health authorities in light of the ‘Coronavirus’ emergency, and therefore due to circumstances beyond the control of BolognaFiere.”
Acquisitions
Bloomsbury has sold the Whitaker’s Almanack assets to graphic novel and genre fiction publisher Rebellion.
Distribution
Simon & Schuster will distribute Indigo River Publishing starting April 1.
