At Random House Children’s, Caite Arocho has joined as marketing coordinator. She was previously marketing and design lead at Outside the Lense. Natali Cavanagh has also joined as a marketing coordinator. She was previously marketing coordinator at Abrams Books.
John Borek, 71, former owner of Rochester’s Village Green Bookstore, died on April 3.

Literary agency MacKenzie Wolf has returned to its previous iterations of Wolf Literary Services and Gillian MacKenzie Agency, while maintaining the same close affiliation the companies had prior to their merger. Wolf Literary will continue to be based in New York, comprising consultant and lawyer Kirsten Wolf and agents Leigh Eisenman, Rachel Crawford, and Kate Johnson. The Gillian MacKenzie Agency will be Massachusetts-based, from where agents Gillian MacKenzie and Elizabeth Rudnick work.

Controversies
The Hollywood Reporter features producer Scott Rudin in a cover story called, Bully. The story opens: “Even as other Hollywood bullies are being sidelined, the uber-producer behind The Social Network and Broadway’s To Kill a Mockingbird has been given a pass for his volcanic temper. Now, former employees open up about a boss who left many traumatized: ‘It was a new level of unhinged.'”
Among named employees on the record in Caroline Rugo, now at Netflix, who lasted for about six months as an executive coordinator at Scott Rudin Productions: “Now that I have established myself here and I am a part of a team where my opinions are respected and welcomed, I have no issue speaking out about Scott. Everyone just knows he’s an absolute monster.”
