Publishing Trends has updated and expanded their “contact sheets” charting literary scouts and their clients, in both the US and the UK. New sheets also list scouts by language.

Aparna Rishi is promoted to director, consumer strategy and creative operations, reporting to Kristin Fassler.

Daniel Wikey has been named director of marketing & publicity, licensing with the Random House Worlds team, reporting to David Moench.

Laura Di Giovine has been promoted to associate director of publicity.

John Makinson joins as chair of the board, effective October 1.

A standard story about the company in the NYT features this interesting bit: Books & Books owner Mitchell Kaplan says “the illustrated books segment of the market is extremely healthy” and notes that “art and photography books make up some 50 percent of our stores’ retail space.” He added, “They are very easily our special sauce.”
