As Threatened, Chuck Norris Sues Penguin On December 21, Chuck Norris followed through on his threats and filed suit against Penguin, alleging that they “have misappropriated and exploited Mr. Norris’s name and likeness without authorization for their own commercial profit” in Ian Spector’s book The Truth About Chuck Norris: 400 Facts about the World’s Greatest Human. Court Won’t Rule on Libel Tourism In the “libel tourism” case brought by author Rachel Ehrenfeld — who was hoping to be declared safe in the US from a default libel judgment in the UK — the NY Court of Appeals unanimously found that New York law has no jurisdiction over Saudi billionaire Khalid bin Mahfouz until he tries to impose the judgment on her here.
