Macmillan released another statement on Friday updating their work to restore their systems after last weekend’s “security incident, which involves the encryption of certain files on our network.” The Pan Macmillan UK warehouse “resumed operations” on June 28. Insight Editions Partners With New Regency on Film Books
Entertainment company New Regency has partnered with Insight Editions on a new division that will produce book tie-ins to New Regency’s film and TV properties. Macmillan Slowly Goes Back Online
According to various Twitter posts, some Macmillan employees are back online after a security incident shut down their systems in the US and UK this week. The roll out gives those staffers access to email, which is run through Gmail, but they may not be able to use systems outside of the Google suite.
Distribution: Histria, UMP, Mayo Clinic
As of July 1, Histria Books will be distributed worldwide by Independent Publishers Group. They were previously distributed by the Casemate Group. Also on July 1, University of Minnesota Press will use Parson Weems Publisher Services as their sales group in the Mid-Atlantic region. Exisle and Mayo Clinic Press will be distributed by Two Rivers Distribution starting in September.
