RBmedia has partnered with Lee & Low Books to publish audiobooks for the children’s publisher. In a four-year agreement, books for all ages, including Indian No More by Charlene Willing McManis and Traci Sorell and Strong As Fire, Fierce as Flame by Supriya Kelkar, will be distributed globally by RBmedia brands Recorded Books and Tantor, and available on Spotify, iTunes, Google Play, and more.

Hodder-Williams Launches Bedford Square Publishers, with “Adaptable Publishing Model”
Two UK publishing executives have launched a new publisher and acquired a small press. Bedford Square Publishers is run by former Hodder & Stoughton CEO Jamie Hodder-Williams, who left the company in the spring, and former John Murray sales strategy director Laura Fletcher, and they will publish 30 titles in their first year in “reading group fiction, crime fiction, smart-thinking books and wellness.” (Hodder-Williams registered the company name in March 2022.) Harper Collins president of sales Josh Marwell has decided to retire after 25 years with the company. CEO Brian Murray writes, "Josh’s principled leadership, care for colleagues and customers alike, good humor, and creative passion for selling our authors’ books are perhaps his greatest legacy.... We will all miss his unique smile that came with a twinkle in his eye when something great happened." Marwell will remain until April "to facilitate a smooth transition, which we will share more information about in the coming weeks."

Harper Union, Authors to Hold Strike Rally
In response to Harper Collins ceo Brian Murray’s open letter addressing union negotiations, the Harper Collins Union will hold a rally outside company headquarters on December 16. Co-hosted by The Poppy War author RF Kuang and former publishing professional and debut author Molly McGhee, the rally will take place at 12:30 PM at 195 Broadway in New York City.
