UK coffee shop chain Caffe Nero announced the shortlists for its inaugural book awards, which celebrate books that were first published in the UK and Ireland. The winner in each category will be announced on January 16 and awarded £5,000, and an overall winner will receive the Nero Gold prize and an additional £30,000 in late February.
