NYT book critic Jennifer Senior “has decided to leave” her position in December, moving to a long-form journalism role at the paper. Kazuo Ishiguro Wins the Nobel Prize
The Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded Thursday to British novelist Kazuo Ishiguro. Ishiguro is best known for his novel The Remains of the Day, which won the 1989 Man Booker. He is also the author of Never Let Me Go, and most recently, The Buried Giant. The Swedish academy noted in a statement, “Ishiguro’s writings are marked by a carefully restrained mode of expression, independent of whatever events are taking place.
