Podium Publishing is expanding to “strategically introduce retail print services for their authors” and will distribute those print editions through Two Rivers Distribution. The publisher notes that, “Although Podium’s business model will continue to be anchored in driving audiobook and ebook consumption, this extension will capture unmet demand through traditional print and further serve the needs of authors.”

Hachette UK Becomes Shareholder of Flame Tree Publishing
Hachette UK has become a shareholder of Flame Tree Publishing, an independent publisher of books, gifts, and art calendars, as of October 31. Hachette UK previously became the company’s distributor. They will also acquire Quest Books, the imprint of Theosophical Publishing House in January 2024. “Red Wheel/Weiser has been a trusted distribution partner for many years. Ingram Academic and Professional will distribute, sell, and market Walter De Gruyter in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean. De Gruyter will use Ingram’s distribution and printing services, sales force, and digital services beginning in January 2024.
