In response to the news that National Book Network will close next year, IPG will host an open house on January 15, 2025 for NBN clients looking for a new distributor. Wordsworth Editions will be distributed by BookSource started February 1, 2025. It was previously distributed by Combined Book Services.

Lerner Publishing Group will distribute Beetle Books, an imprint of Hungry Tomato, in the US and Canada beginning January 2025. The rest of UK-based Hungry Tomato is already distributed by Lerner Publisher Services.

National Book Network, the book distributor founded in 1986 by Jed Lyons to handle distribution for his company Rowman & Littlefield as well as other publishers, is closing. Lyons sold Rowman & Littlefield’s academic publishing business to Bloomsbury earlier this year and then sold Sundance Newbridge to Lerner Publishing Group. Lyons still owns Globe Pequot, which will be distributed by Simon & Schuster in North America beginning in the second half of 2025.
