Following quickly on Oprah Winfrey’s book club pick of Colson Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad — which was moved up from a planned September release at Winfrey’s request — is another Oprah selection, scheduled for September 6 publication. The WSJ wrote about it online this morning before metadata was officially posted on bookselling sites, and “a spokesman for the Oprah Winfrey Network said she couldn’t confirm that another selection was coming in September.” But major sites now display info for the pick. Clinton Campaign Book from S&S In September
Hillary Clinton’s longtime publisher Simon & Schuster will publish the official Clinton-Kaine campaign book, Stronger Together, on September 6. With introductions by Clinton and Kaine, the publisher says, “The book will explore the solutions she has laid out from the beginning of her presidential campaign in April 2015, up to and including her appearance at the Democratic National Convention on July 28.”
Oprah Picks Colson Whitehead’s The Underground Railroad
Oprah’s latest Book Club pick, her first in approximately 18 months, is Colson Whitehead’s new novel The Underground Railroad. Originally scheduled for release on September 13, Doubleday has pushed up publication and the book, emblazoned with the Oprah Book Club logo, is on sale today.
