Thomas Dunne Books Gets “Smaller And More Focused”
After 45 years at St. Martin’s Press and 30 years running his own imprint, Thomas Dunne announced the imprint will become a “smaller and more focused group” consisting of executive editor Peter Joseph; associate editor Melanie Fried; and Dunne’s assistant Cameron Jones. The restructured imprint will continue to acquire several dozen titles a year, while remaining Thomas Dunne staffers will be absorbed into St. Martin’s. Perseus Books Group imprint Seal Press is being aligned within the company, moving from its historical place as part of the Avalon Group — Avalon Publishing purchased Seal in 2002 — to a more practical alignment with PBG’s Da Capo Press, where Seal will be an imprint.
