Ingram Content Group has bolstered their executive ranks following the departure of ceo Skip Prichard, who was replaced in that post by John Ingram. Shawn Morin has been promoted to chief operating officer, effective immediately, in charge of managing the company’s commercial activities (including the divisions that serve publishers, libraries, booksellers and educators), systems, and operations. Former Knopf executive vp Tony Schulte, 82, drowned on Sunday while swimming near the summer home in Rangeley, ME he shared with his wife, literary agent Liz Darhansoff. He began his career at Simon & Schuster before moving to Knopf in 1968. William Morris Endeavor has hired two prominent young UK-based agents to run their UK literary office, more than filling the void left when Eugenie Furniss left the agency earlier this year to start her own firm. Starting July 2, Holtzbrinck’s book publishing units will be restructured into three global divisions that will separate trade books and science and education publishing into different groups. Current Macmillan US president and ceo John Sargent will take over management of the global trade group, encompassing all the consumer book publishing operations in the US, Germany (Droemer Knaur; Rowohlt; and S.
