Oakland-based publisher PM Press is expanding its operations to New York with a new warehouse space in Binghamton, NY and an increase in staffing. The new warehouse is six times larger than the publisher’s Oakland warehouse. PM Press said in a release that they plan to hold “annual book sales, festivals, author talks, and public facing events in conjunction with Binghamton University at the new Emma Street facility.”

‘Harlequin Plus’ Multimedia Subscription Service Launches
A new multimedia subscription-based service called Harlequin Plus will give users access to movies and games as well as ebooks, and book bundles delivered to their homes. Each month, “romance experts will select and refresh content across the digital platform.” Subscribers choose between either an ebook bundle or a group of print books shipped to their homes. Sterling Publishing Relaunches As Union Square & Co.
Sterling Publishing will rebrand its core titles and expand its publishing program, under the new name of Union Square & Co., as promised when Barnes & Noble hired Emily Meehan as the division’s chief creative officer and publisher a year ago.
